Hospitals use interactive digital play to support patients

Hospitals are bringing big smiles to little faces by introducing digital play as a fun way to engage their youngest patients and provide a welcome distraction.

Harnessing sensory elements such as sound and light, touch and feel, Play9 has partnered with a selection of visionary hospitals and staff to explore digital and interactive play spaces that will truly engage and delight young patients.

“Our interactive digital KidsZone recently installed in the reception at Lady Cilento hospital has had extremely positive feedback. Children can rock with Robots or save the planet with the Fruitables, while waiting for appointments” comments Play9 Director, Tanya Michaelides.

With colourful animated characters that really make children smile, it is interactive play with a digital twist! “Children can get to know the animated characters, and for patients with long-term or repeat visits, it’s another way to build continuity, connection and positive associations” explains Tanya.
